A lot of clients ask me to explain the terms I use. Here’s a list and explanation of services that a Social Media Manager and Virtual Assistant can provide you!
The .png or .jpeg picture you are posting on a social site.
Service includes designing graphics, keeping within the agreed visual aesthetic, that is within the brand of the company.
The written caption ( words) is added to each graphic.
Services include writing the copy for each graphic, adding emojis and spacing that works best for the platform being used, keeping in mind Call to Actions and SEO.
A word or phrase preceded by a hash sign (#), identify digital content on a specific topic. Services include researching the best hashtags for your company, keeping hashtags consistent with each post, and changing when necessary.
Reaching out to other social media accounts, potential clients, and potential collaborators to create and maintain a relationship and get noticed by the algorithm. Also, replying to comments left on your post.
Using scheduling software to keep posts flowing at a prime time and consistent schedule from a month to month basis.
Loading content onto each site (if a scheduling software isn’t being used or can’t cover all social platforms) that is desired by the client.

Taking video of products, services, or your day-to-day activities.Outlining and implementing a strategy for these videos.
Taking raw footage that the client sends me and turning them into graphics, short videos, Facebook Ads, etc.
Creating material for IGTV, REELS, TikTok, etc.
Outlining and producing videos specific to certain social media “fads”.
Adding the intro, outro to each podcast episode, editing the audio to create a consistent volume, and taking out “filler words” or mistakes made.Keeping the flow of the podcast the best it can be.
Podcast Show Notes
Transcribing podcast, keeping a minute-to-minute breakdown of subject matter (to easily skip to interesting parts for listeners), and/or writing a general summary of the episode.
Analytics & Research
In Analytics, keeping tabs on the success of certain posts, page views, and traffic to other websites to see growth and room for improvement.Researching similar industry successes and updating strategy based on findings of what works and what doesn’t.
Awritten-upmarketing strategy for creating and using video specifically.
A written up marketing strategy for the clients’ social platforms.Breaking down what works and what doesn’t, creating a detailed schedule, and posting themes for them to implement.
Booking podcast guests, public speaking events, and opportunities to present the client’s services/ business.
joining and posting in different Facebook groups, local organizations that want to promote the client, building relationships with influencers for promo opportunities.
Podcast management/ Producer
Writing script, outlining episodes, booking guests, editing audio, posting episodes, and promoting new episodes/podcasts.
Taking content from past (or present) and using it as a source to create other content. For example, a video can also be a podcast, a podcast can be turned into a blog, and a blog can be turned into 15 social posts.
Creating newsletter templates, updating monthly/weekly/daily newsletters, and scheduling those newsletters to preferred email addresses.
